This January 6, a regular meeting of the Public Council under the Anti-Corruption Agency was held, which analyzed the activities of the Council for the fourth quarter of 2022.
It is worth noting that during this period the Council actively contributed to improving the effectiveness of measures to prevent and combat corruption.
In particular, the Council developed a questionnaire to study the attitude of young people to corruption, members of the Council participated in forums and seminars organized by the Agency, as well as involved in the Anti-Corruption Week. They took part in the discussions of regulations, and in actions and flash mobs aimed at to popularize the fight against corruption among young people.
The meeting determined the priority areas for the Council’s activities for 2023, goals and objectives.
The meeting participants also discussed organizational issues. In particular, the issue of considering a new candidate for the post of Chair of the Public Council due to the transfer to another job of the current Chair of the Council, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Combating Corruption and Judicial-Legal Issues of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Shukhrat Polvanov was discussed.
Foziljon Otakhonov, Director of the Legislation and Parliamentary Research Institute, was unanimously elected as a new Chair of the Council.
