Work on draft legal acts
- Regulations on the procedure for receiving and presenting gifts to civil servants were approved.
- An anti-corruption expertise of 30 draft legal acts was carried out, in 23 of which 39 corruption factors identified.
On the introduction of an internal anti-corruption control system
A rating assessment of the anti-corruption activities of 62 ministries and agencies was carried out.
The following organizations held open competitions for the position of the head of the Internal Anti-Corruption Control Unit:
· the External Labor Migration Agency at the Ministry for Poverty Reduction and Employment of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
· the Ministry of Digital Technologies;
· the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
· the Cultural Heritage Agency;
· the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
· JSC Uzbek Geological Exploration.
According to the results of studies conducted in the field of public procurement and other areas, the Agency sent the following organizations:
· 34 statutory notices to ministries and departments (in the amount of 14.4 billion soums);
· 17 enquiries to the State Financial Control Inspectorate (in the amount of 6 billion soums);
· 9 enquiries to law enforcement agencies (in the amount of 37 billion soums).
Working with appeals
According to the results of studies conducted on the basis of citizens’ appeals, 2 statutory notices were sent to ministries and departments, as well as 5 enquiries to law enforcement and other bodies. One criminal case was initiated.
Out of 243 appeals in total (including 26 appeals received through the Call Center):
· 208 were considered (35 under consideration);
· 11 were resolved positively;
· 61 appeals were provided with legal advice and clarifications;
· 4 were left without consideration;
· 1 appeal was taken into consideration;
· 131 appeals were forwarded to ministries and departments.
The following areas with the largest number of appeals:
· 31 (12.8%) complaints about the actions of education workers and violations of the law in this area;
· 29 (12.0%) appeals against court decisions;
· 20 (8.2%) appeals on cases of violations of the law in public procurement and tendering;
· 19 (7.8%) appeals on the land issue;
· 16 (6.6%) appeals with complaints about the actions of employees of internal affairs bodies;
· 13 (5.3%) complaints about cases of violations of legislation in the field of healthcare and the actions of medical personnel, etc.
Ensuring the openness of the activities of government bodies and organizations

The results of the Openness Index of 86 ministries, agencies and organizations for 2022 have been announced.
Together with the Ferghana regional administration, a Roadmap 2023 was approved for the implementation of the project ‘Open, transparent and accountable territory in the Ferghana regional administration’.
Activities of the Public Council
A schedule for 2023 was approved for hearing information from ministries and agencies on anti-corruption issues.
Work with nongovernmental nonprofit organizations
The Parliamentary Commission for Managing the Funds of the Public Fund to Support NGOs and Other Civil Society Institutions under the Oliy Majlis was presented with projects submitted by the Agency for NGOs.
