On May 19, Umida Tukhtasheva, Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, met with Anga Timilsina, UNDP’s Global Program Advisor on Anti-Corruption.

At the meeting, the parties summed up the results of projects implemented in this area in Uzbekistan in cooperation with UNDP, and exchanged views on the results achieved in the framework of cooperation.

In particular, they focused on the works carried out in cooperation with UNDP on the introduction of mechanisms to prevent corruption in government bodies, the involvement of nongovernmental organizations and the media in the sphere, the introduction of electronic products into the system, etc.

Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to intensify cooperation through the development of new projects and the joint development of strategic documents to combat corruption.
