The Anti-Corruption Agency has conducted a study of the activities of the children’s music and art school No.14 of Pakhtakor District, Jizzakh Region, after the Agency received a complaint from citizen F.B. and others on the actions of the leadership of the educational institution.
The study of the case revealed that the principal of the children’s music and art school No.14 V.M.O., taking advantage of her official position in the period from 2019 to May 2023, paid her husband O.A., who allegedly worked at the school as a sound engineer, 47.3 million soums, as well as from 2019 to May 2023, she paid 6.9 million soums to N.E., allegedly worked as a storekeeper, and until 2016 continued to pay salary to D.H., who had retired in 2014, the amount of which made 22.9 million soums. As a result, the embezzlement of budgetary funds totaled 77.1 million soums.
In addition, V.M.O. in a criminal conspiracy with the son R.D., who works as the acting principal of the children’s music and art school No.9 of Zafarobod District, issued false documents for two employees of the school No.14 N.Yu. and I.T. about their employment in this school as well, and for the period of 2017-2022 allegedly paid 69.8 million soums. In total, the amount of embezzlement made 146.9 million soums.
In early April, the materials collected as a result of the study were submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
On April 16, the Pakhtakor District Unit of the Department on Combating Economic Crimes of the General Prosecutor’s Office initiated a criminal case against officials of the children’s music and art school No. 14 of Pakhtakor District and others.
The District Prosecutor’s Office is currently conducting investigation.
