Uzbekistan has ranked 30th in the world and 1st in Central Asia with a score of 70 in the Open Data Inventory Ranking by Open Data Watch. (in 2020, the country ranked 45th scoring 63 points)
For information: Open Data Watch is an international, non-profit organization of data experts working to bring change to organizations that produce and manage official statistical data.
The Open Data Inventory (ODIN) assesses the coverage and openness of official statistics to identify gaps, promote open data policies, improve access, and encourage dialogue between national statistical offices and data users.
The position of Uzbekistan in the ranking has improved due to a significant increase in budget transparency, openness in the financial and banking sectors.
In Open Data Inventory 2022, Singapore took first place, Poland -2nd, Denmark – 3rd and Finland – 4th.
In the context of the Central Asian region, Kazakhstan ranked 51st, Kyrgyzstan - 92nd, Tajikistan - 126th, Turkmenistan - 195th.
