The work done by the Anti-Corruption Agency to identify, eliminate and prevent violations of budget legislation in budget institutions in Samarkand region, as well as the factors that cause corruption in the system were studied.

The study revealed cases of budget organizations in the region paying salaries and other equivalent payments to employees, as well as looting funds allocated for construction on the basis of forged documents.

In particular, officials of the Samarkand branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology paid a total of 175 million sums to 54 employees of the center. sums of maternity and postnatal leave, sick leave and leave, as well as unjustified calculation of overtime allowances.

Similar cases were reported by the Samarkand City Maternity Hospital No. 3 in the amount of 50 million sums and 29 mln. sums in Narpay district landscaping department. sums can also be seen when budget funds are spent without complying with the requirements of the law.

According to the results of the pre-investigation investigation by the regional prosecutor's office, a criminal case under Article 167 (3) and other articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan was initiated.

During the research conducted by the Agency, a total of 563 mln. sums of budget funds were looted.

At present, pre-investigation investigations are underway in other institutions in the region.
