The constituent meeting of the Territorial Anti-Corruption council held in the administration of the Bukhara region, was devoted to an urgent problem - corruption and its prevention, which is becoming a serious obstacle to the development of society.
The meeting was attended by members of the Territorial Council, representatives of regional administrations, deputies, law enforcement agencies, the economy and the agro-industrial complex, education, healthcare, public organizations, and the media.
At the beginning of the Constituent Assembly, the members of the Territorial Anti-Corruption Council of the region were announced. After that, Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Umida Tukhtasheva, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan Anvar Khusanov, First Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee Bobir Karimov spoke about the tasks of the newly created Territorial Anti-Corruption Council, in addition, they spoke in detail about the cases of corruption and bribery identified in our country, in particular in the region in recent years and last year, conditions that lead to the emergence of crime and delinquency.
At the constituent assembly, the important tasks of each member of the Territorial Anti-Corruption Council were discussed. In particular, the study of the legality, transparency and fairness of tenders and auctions in the field of public procurement, construction, road repair and other areas, attention was paid to the aspects of the formation of transparency and healthy competition in the selection and placement of young personnel, hiring in government agencies, enterprises and institutions.
It was emphasized that the media should also become a leading force in this process, be intolerant of possible bribery and corruption in this or that area and shape public opinion on this issue.
Following the results of the constituent assembly, a number of recommendations were developed and entrusted to officials.
