Matilda Dimovska, UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan:
“We have been witnessing massive efforts on implementation of the priority tasks of combating corruption in Uzbekistan.
A number of important laws have been adopted in the sphere, including laws ‘On Combating Corruption’, ‘On Public Procurement’, ‘On Public Control’, ‘On the State Civil Service’.
More than 10 legislative acts and state anti-corruption programs became the basis for the implementation of these laws.
The Anti-Corruption Agency has created a solid institutional foundation for the country’s new national anti-corruption system as a coordinating body of internal control structures of ministries and departments in the field of preventing and combating corruption.”
