Uzpromstroybank (The Uzbek Industrial and Construction Bank) has held the Doors Open Day, timed to December 9, the International Anti-Corruption Day.
At the event, organized jointly with the Anti-Corruption Agency, information was presented on the work carried out within the framework of the requirements of the anti-bribery management systems.
The implementation of ISO 37001 - Anti-bribery management systems, helps to reduce the risk of bribery in banking, ensures transparency and reliability to stakeholders, protects the organization and stakeholders from the negative consequences of corruption. Compliance by the current legislation in this area indicates that the institution is working properly.
Therefore, this year this system has been finalized and brought into line with the international standard ISO 37001 and legal requirements, 20 internal regulations were developed, a map of corruption risks created, and an internal audit of the system carried out.
At the event, the Anti-Corruption Agency officers made a presentation on the work implemented in cooperation with the bank, including the anti-corruption policy, the code of ethics, the regulation on the management of conflict of interest, the regulation on corruption through communication channels, the methodology for assessing corruption risks, etc.
The event participants were introduced to the mechanisms for handling complaints related to corruption in the banking system, conducting internal audits, and maintaining a register of complaints.
