The Meeting Minutes #8 of the National Anti-Corruption Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan of August 17, 2022 approved the Action Plan for the Anti-Corruption Week timed to December 9, the International Anti-Corruption Day.
In pursuance of paragraph 13 of this Plan, in December, ministries and departments hold the Doors Open Days, during which various events are organized addressing the issues of combating and preventing corruption, including ensuring the openness of their activities, preventing and eliminating corruption risks in their sector, and introducing modern anti-corruption systems.
Accordingly, the Tashkent regional administration, together with the Anti-Corruption Agency, organized the Doors Open Day.
During the event, the main attention was paid to the issues of openness of the activities of government agencies and organizations, ensuring their accountability to citizens, strengthening the interaction of government authorities with the media.
Reports were also heard on the issues of prevention and elimination of corruption risks, the introduction of modern anti-corruption systems.
Nodira Samandarova, the Anti-Corruption Agency officer, attended the event and provided the participants with detailed information on the identification of corruption risks, assessment procedures, criteria, frequency, map of corruption risks. She thoroughly explained when assessment should be carried out and the actions to be taken following the assessment.
