On the second day of the International Anti-Corruption Conference, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Akmal Burkhanov attended a high-level meeting of heads of state, ministers, as well as heads of agencies and international organizations involved in the fight against corruption.

Heads of a number of organizations, including UN, the European Union, the World Bank, Transparency International, USAID, FATF, OGP, the President of Moldova, directors of anti-corruption agencies of the USA, France, Great Britain, Denmark, Norway attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Akmal Burkhanov, the head of the delegation of Uzbekistan, delivered a speech, in which he noted that special attention should be paid to the fight against corruption in all areas of activity in each country individually and in cooperation with other states and international organizations. After that, the exchange of views was initiated, participants of which discussed the measures that should be implemented in this area.

The meeting also discussed the role of representatives of the nongovernmental sector in the development of anti-corruption policies, support for investigative journalism, and the provision of international technical assistance.
