This January 20, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency held a meeting with Ronnie Heine, Head of the Representative Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation on Central Asia, to discuss further cooperation issues.
The meeting also attended by the Anti-Corruption Agency Deputy Directors Umida Tukhtasheva and Umed Mavlyanov, as well as responsible employees of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Representative Office.
The meeting highlighted the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in the implementation of anti-corruption reforms in Uzbekistan, including assistance in improving the activities of internal anti-corruption control units in government bodies and organizations.
On his part, Ronnie Heine highly appreciated the work carried out by the Agency, stressed that changes in the field of combating corruption are being implemented systematically and expressed satisfaction with cooperation with the Agency.
During the meeting, the parties discussed further areas of cooperation. In particular, it was decided to organize seminars and trainings with the involvement of international experts in the field of combating corruption, as well as to organize research in this area.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation, actively implement future joint projects and events.
