The Anti-Corruption Agency has conducted an analysis of corruption risks associated with licensing the activities of non-state higher educational institutions.
The analysis showed that the tasks assigned to the responsible organizations in this track are not being carried out effectively, there are regulatory gaps and other cases that are subject to corruption risks.
In particular, in 2022 and the past period of 2023, violation of the law in 82 cases were revealed when licensing 38 out of 65 non-state higher educational institutions.
In particular, in 22 cases, applicants licensed without obtaining the appropriate conclusions from the state fire supervision authorities and the sanitary and epidemiological service.
Also, licenses were issued to applicants despite the fact that the curricula and subject programs were not fully uploaded to the electronic system or not uploaded at all in accordance with the requirements established by law.
Based on the results of the analysis, the Anti-Corruption Agency developed and submitted to the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan proposals aimed at eliminating existing corruption risks in the field of licensing the activities of non-state higher educational institutions.
