A delegation of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is on a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on 21 May.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the prevention and fight against corruption, the role of law enforcement agencies in this regard, in particular the implementation of prevention of offences and the work carried out by law enforcement agencies in the fight against corruption.

They also discussed the effectiveness of the anti-corruption system in the law enforcement system, the identification of corruption risks in operational and investigative activities, and mechanisms for cooperation between law enforcement agencies and other state bodies working in the area of anti-corruption.

During the meeting, members of the delegation were briefed on the relevant State programme to improve the work of law enforcement agencies and strengthen the anti-corruption system in this area.
