With the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 25, 2020 "On measures to implement the project "Development of rural infrastructure" with the participation of the International Development Association of the World Bank and the Asian Investment Bank"PP-4898 "the agency for combating corruption is entrusted with the task of establishing permanent control over ensuring openness and transparency

More than 300 villages in Andijan, Fergana, Namangan, Jizzakh and Sirdarya regions of the Republic are included in the project, creating an opportunity to raise funds for improving the quality of basic social infrastructure in these population camps.

For this purpose, the World Bank has attracted 100 million US dollars and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank has attracted 82 million US dollars. In addition, the government of the Republic of Uzbekistan allocated 1.6 million US dollars for the same purpose, the total cost of the project is 183.6 million US dollars.

The project is aimed at improving the basic infrastructure quality of the rural population and improving the quality of services that provide rural life activities. The project will also contribute to the improvement of the local self-government system, providing the rural population with the basic needs for services provided in their neighborhood infrastructure.

The Working Group under the leadership of the director of the agency met with officials of the Ministry of economic development and poverty reduction, representatives of international organizations, as well as Project participants in Fergana region in order to study the targeted use of allocated funds and the implementation of works.

It is noted that today, local non-profit organizations are also involved in the project in order to ensure that the process of selection of social facilities is transparent and open.

According to Fergana Valley, work is planned to be carried out in 32 subproject facilities for 2021 year, now consulting companies are carrying out mobilization work in selected villages by experience.

In addition, a total of 45 villages were selected in Jizzakh and Sirdarya regions for 2021-2022 years in order to organize work on improving the basic infrastructure and social facilities in the villages. Of this, at the moment, the work on the mobilization of the population and the community has been completed in 36 units.

Also, within the framework of the project, the construction of 2 Modern schools with 264 seats in Andijan region Pakhtabad District "Sahil" and 220 seats in Jizzakh region Bahmal district "Saray" has been established, now the project-estimate documents have been developed and the state expert has been conducted. Today, a contracting organization is being determined to carry out construction and repair work.

In addition, a total of 67 projects in selected villages, including 21 clean drinking water, 24 improvement of power supply system, 14 repair of internal streets, 2 reconstruction of school buildings, 2 school halls of activists, modern sports ground and computer class reconstruction, 1 improvement of school heating system, 1 bridge construction and 2 leakage of water (drainage reconstruction), such as the demand for infrastructure

Currently, "single customer service" engineering companies under the customer – regional authorities hold competitions on designing organizations.

Within the framework of the project in 2021, as a result of the above-mentioned measures, it is planned to attract funds in the amount of 20.5 million US dollars.
