In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 16, 2021 "On additional measures to ensure transparency of government agencies and organizations, as well as effective implementation of public control" the Anti-Corruption Agency has been tasked with coordinating and constantly monitoring the transparency of state bodies and organisations.
Today, the Agency controls the timely and complete publication of socially important information approved by the decree of state bodies and organizations on the open data portal and on their official websites, and updates within the specified timeframes.
In particular, it was monitored (as of August 16 of this year) that local state bodies placed on their official websites information about quarterly estimates of revenues and expenditures of local budgets, over-fulfilled part of the plan, as well as information about targeted use of these funds.
According to the results of the study, the following was identified:
The khokimiyat of Namangan region has fully disclosed the information on local budget revenues and expenditures in the 1st half of 2021, in particular, the expenditure of budget funds by regions, cities and districts and sectors, and ensured the implementation of the decree.
Partial information (mistakes and omissions) on execution of local budget for the 1st half of 2021 by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of Andijan, Bukhara, Djizak and Navoi regions was disclosed.
Khorezm, Samarkand, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Syrdarya, Fergana, Tashkent regions and Tashkent city khokimiyats were found to have not implemented the decree at all and were warned in accordance with the procedure established by the Agency.
For information: In accordance with the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Department for Ensuring Transparency in the Activities of State Bodies and Organizations was established within the Anti-Corruption Agency. The Department constantly monitors the placement of socially significant information (33 types) on the open data portal and on their official websites by government agencies and organizations.
