On September 23 of this year, an online meeting was held with the participation of the Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Umida Tukhtasheva and representatives of the Asian Development Bank. For information (details): Cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank has been established since August 1995. Cooperation with the Asian Development Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has been established in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 30, 1998 No. 186 "On measures to develop cooperation with the Asian Development Bank." The representative office of the Asian Development Bank has been operating in Tashkent since 1997. The event was opened by the project manager of the Asian Development Bank Ch. Akin, who briefly told about the activities of the Asian Development Bank in Uzbekistan, projects implemented in the field of public administration in the country. Afterwards, the Deputy Director of the Agency U. Tukhtasheva acquainted with the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the latest reforms in this area, the activities of the Agency and the tasks set. During the talks, the sides discussed the launch of the next stage of the "Program for Improving Economic Governance" of the Asian Development Bank and the role of the Agency in this project. Furthermore, it was noted that the issue of reforming the system of internal anti-corruption control in state bodies ("compliance control") and the system of anti-corruption control in the field of public procurement and support of the Agency in other areas will be considered. |
Following the meeting, organized in the form of a dialogue, sides agreed to establish cooperation, including on the implementation of joint projects within the fight against corruption.
