On September 28, a meeting was held with the head of the Anti-Corruption Agency and the EU Delegation to Uzbekistan, Ambassador Charlotte Adrien, and visiting experts from the General Secretariat in Brussels.

The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the anti-corruption policy and reforms in the countries receiving grants from the European Union in the framework of the EU's monitoring policy, and to discuss prospects for cooperation in this area.

Initially, the director of the agency opened the meeting and informed the representatives of the European Union about the judicial and legal reforms carried out in the Republic of Uzbekistan in recent years, including prevention and combating corruption, ensuring the openness of state bodies, reducing the human factor in the provision of public services to citizens, creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurial subjects, information about the organization of public receptions and the current activities of the agency.

In turn, Ambassador Sh. Adrien expressed satisfaction with the meeting and acknowledged the ongoing reforms in the fight against corruption in our country.

They also exchanged views on anti-corruption measures to ensure openness and transparency in the use of budget funds in Uzbekistan, as well as the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and changes in it, the work carried out by the Agency, the agency's short-term plans and goals.

At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached between the EU and the Agency to organize further working meetings to further expand ties and discuss the development of cooperation between the two organizations.
