At a recurrent meeting of the National Anti – Corruption Council, the issue of forming the composition of territorial councils was considered, at which the conformation of the Samarkand Territorial Anti -  Corruption Council has been approved.

At the initial meeting of the territorial council, held yesterday, the composition of the council was presented as well as tasks were set. The speakers expressed the negative impact of corruption on the development of society and the elimination of its causes.

Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Umida Tukhtasheva, spoke about the practice of combating corruption in the country, the implementation of regulations in this area and the tasks facing members of territorial councils in the implementation of the project "Sphere without corruption".

At the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee N. Musamukhammedov, member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis F. Toshev also made proposals and recommendations to combat this adversity.

"The fight within corruption should begin with the council members, first of all, with the enterprise they are heading," said E. Turdimov, chairman of the territorial anti – corruption council - the khokim of the region.
