The participation of government agencies, civil society institutions and public is a very important aspect of the fight against corruption. Since the use of these institutions at the regional level contributes to an increase in the efficiency of the work carried out in this area. Aiming to that, constituent assemblies of the Territorial council for combating corruption are being organized in all regions of the country.

In particular, on October 14, a constituent meeting of the Territorial council for combating corruption of the Surkhandarya region was held in Termez.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Surkhandarya regional council of People's Deputies, the Chairman of the Territorial council for combating corruption Tura Bobolov, the Deputy director of the Agency for combating corruption Umida Tukhtasheva, the Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee Mirziyod Makhkamov, representatives of the Ministry of Justice and members of the territorial Council.

At the meeting, information was presented on the measures taken to combat corruption and the role of territorial councils, effective usage of budget and investment funds by them, as well as their participation in public procurement.
