Ensuring the implementation of the tasks on combating corruption in all sectors and regions of the country is a key aspect that directly influences the effectiveness of reforms in this track.
This February 9, a working group consisting of representatives of the Anti-Corruption Agency, other ministries and departments studied the situation in Sirdaryo Region.
The activities of internal anti-corruption structures created in local authorities was on the focus of the working group. Anti-corruption activities in preschool institutions and local government agencies were also studied, as well as work on ensuring their openness. The situation with awareness-raising events on combating corruption issues in the region was also in the limelight.
First of all, the working group visited preschool educational institutions of the region, where they studied the state of admission of children to nurseries and their attendance, as well as the healthy nutrition system.
Moreover, the working group members held open dialogue with the staff of several preschool educational institutions.
Local residents noted that the digitization of the admission procedure to preschool educational institutions served to prevent corruption in this sector. Residents also expressed their opinions and proposals for further increasing the transparency of the admission process to educational institutions, the effectiveness of work to improve child nutrition and education.
Following the study of the regional administration activities, relevant recommendations were given on organizing an internal anti-corruption control system and improving its efficiency.
In addition, a meeting was organized with officials of the region on the effective application of legislative documents on the openness of the activities of government agencies and institutions.
It should be emphasized that the Agency plans to systematically organize similar events to study the measures taken to combat corruption and the establishment of awareness-raising actions in other regions as well.
