This March 4, the Anti-Corruption Agency officials together with experts discussed the project of the Anti-Corruption Academy.
Studies and analysis conducted by the Agency have shown that there is a need in constant improving the knowledge of the population and skills of civil servants in the field of combating corruption, but there is no a single systematic approach or platform in this area yet.
For this reason, Goal 84 of the State Program for the Implementation of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy 2022-2026 in the Year of Ensuring Human Interests and Mahalla Development provides for introduction of a comprehensive system for improving legal knowledge and education in the field by creating an Anti-Corruption Academy.
At the meeting, a presentation was made of the project of the Anti-Corruption Academy.
A special training platform will be provided with teaching aids that form an uncompromising attitude towards corruption in society, with the research results, as well as TV, video, audio, and film products that reflect the institutional and legal framework aimed at eliminating corruption and conflicts of interest.
The Academy project was discussed in detail with the participation of specialists trained at prestigious universities in Japan.
Experts from ministries and departments, banking system, economic sector and higher educational institutions of the country made proposals for further improvement of the project based on foreign experience, admitting that the Academy will serve as a platform for the selection and promotion of civil servants as well as for the prevention of other corruption factors.
Following the meeting, participants decided to use the expert potential in the field of corruption prevention more widely.
