On March 11, senior officials of the Anti-Corruption Agency held a meeting with representatives of the Swiss Embassy in Uzbekistan and the United Nations Development Program Office.
The tripartite meeting was organized to strengthen cooperation, provide technical assistance to Uzbekistan in the fight against corruption in cooperation with the Swiss government and UNDP, as well as study the Swiss experience in this area.
Akmal Burkhanov, Director of the Agency, informed foreign partners about the work carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of combating corruption and the latest reforms.
During the meeting, proposals were made to develop cooperation within the framework of the Swiss Cooperation Program 2022-2025 for Central Asia. In particular, the parties discussed the issues of improving the anti-corruption system in key sectors of the economy, continuing to implement the compliance control system at enterprises with state share and increasing the effectiveness of combating corruption in business.
Following the meeting, the Agency officials and representatives of UNDP and Swiss Embassy agreed to continue cooperation in these areas.
