This April 8, the Anti-Corruption Agency held a meeting with representatives of the Jozef Stefan Institute and ‘Regional Dialogue’ International NGO, Slovenia.
For reference: Cooperation ties with the Slovenian Jozef Stefan Institute were established in October 2021 during the visit of Uzbekistan delegation led by the director of the Anti-Corruption Agency to Slovenia.
Currently, specialists of the Institute in the field of artificial intelligence Marko Grobelnik, Mitja Jermol, Dobran Bozic and Denis Justinek are visiting Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the Director of the Agency, Akmal Burkhanov, informed the guests about the anti-corruption reforms carried out in the country, including the work on digitalization in the field of preventing corruption.
In turn, the head of Regional Dialogue International NGO Mjusa Sever and experts from the Jozef Stefan Institute, shared information about the Slovenian experience in this area, in particular, on the use of artificial intelligence.
For reference: The basis of the ERAR portal has been created using the artificial intelligence algorithm developed by scientists from the Jozef Stefan Institute, which is designed to monitor the spending of state budget funds.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in the field of property and assets declaration of public officials, the public procurement, and the Slovenian side on providing expert assistance.
