The Anti-Corruption Agency conducts seminars on ensuring the openness of the activities of government agencies and organizations in regions, cities, districts of the republic on a regular basis.
It is aimed at the timely and complete implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan ‘On additional measures to ensure the openness of the activities of government agencies and organizations, as well as the effective implementation of public control.’
This April 28-29, the responsible officers of the Anti-Corruption Agency held seminars in Andijan and Namangan regions with the participation of specialists responsible for ensuring the openness of the administrations, as well as members of regional, district and city Councils of people’s representatives.
Based on the requirements of the Decree, a detailed analysis of shortcomings and delays in posting socially significant information on the official websites of regional, district and city administrations, as well as on the Open Data Portal, was carried out at the seminar.
According to the study, in Andijan Region, the official websites of regional, district and city administrations do not contain information on public procurement, business trips, official vehicles and official housing, the activities of members of the public council and other socially significant information.
The official websites of Buloqboshi, Boston, Shakhrikhon and other district administrations do not work as well.
In the context of Namangan Region, socially significant information, including the execution of the local budget, public procurement, business trips, official vehicles and official housing, the results of consideration of citizens’ appeals for the first quarter of 2022, were also not posted on the Open Data Portal and on the website of the regional administration.
The seminar participants discussed in detail the mistakes and shortcomings, after which the Agency specialists carried out explanatory work regarding compliance with the legislation on openness, and the need for timely and complete placement of information on designated resources.
