On February 17, 2022, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a videoconference on the further reform of customs and its transformation into a sphere free from corruption.
For to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks set and improve the knowledge and skills of customs officers in the compliance control, the Internal Security Department of the State Customs Committee, together with the Anti-Corruption Agency, organized a field training for officers of the Jizzakh Regional Department of the State Customs Committee.
During the training, the responsible officer of the Agency provided detailed information on the state policy in the field of combating corruption and its priorities, international experience in this area and challenges for the future.
Also, the training attendees and specialists discussed the factors that lead to corruption in the customs system.
A survey was also conducted among customs officers to assess the dynamics of corruption risks.
Following the training, measures were outlined that need to be taken in the future to prevent corruption in the department, an uncompromising fight against corruption.
It is worth to note the State Customs Committee runs hotline 1108 to report cases of violation of customs legislation or illegal actions of customs officers.
