On June 6-9, the expert group of the World Bank project ‘Strengthening institutional capacity in combating corruption’ is holding meetings with relevant ministries and departments in the field of combating corruption in Uzbekistan.
Online meeting was held June 9 between representatives of the Agency and the World Bank following the results of the mission.
The parties once again discussed specific areas of cooperation in strengthening ties between the Agency and the World Bank and the implementation of reforms in the field of combating corruption in Uzbekistan, as well as identified goals and objectives for the future.
According to the agreements, the Agency and the World Bank will work together to identify corruption risks in the field of public procurement, introduce a methodology to eliminate corruption in government agencies, income and assets declaration, as well as institutional assessment of the Agency.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the development of target projects and the provision of expert assistance within the framework of mutual cooperation.
