On June 23, a meeting was held at the Anti-Corruption Agency with Alexander Carlile, a member of the Supervisory Board of Bikal Information Technologies and Services Company, member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament.
The main purpose of the meeting was the exchange of experience on the introduction of modern information technologies in the fight against corruption and the discussion of issues of bilateral cooperation.
At the beginning of the meeting, representatives of the Agency provided detailed information on the main areas of state policy in the field of combating corruption in the country, in particular, on the powers and tasks of the Agency, current projects and plans for the future.
The discussions also focused on the prospects for cooperation in strengthening integrity in the civil service in Uzbekistan and studying the British experience in preventing conflicts of interest.
The parties agreed to exchange experience in the field of combating corruption, organizing training programs, internships and joint projects aimed at increasing the potential and skills of the Agency’s employees.
Following the meeting, the participants noted that the establishment of effective cooperation between the two sides meets the mutual interests of both countries.
