The Anti-Corruption Agency has planned to organize seminars in August-December this year for to increase the activity of regional anti-corruption councils of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, and ensure the fulfillment of the tasks set to prevent corruption in the field.
The first of the seminars addressed the rating system for assessing the level of corruption in the context of regions, spheres and government agencies. About 200 representatives of ministries and departments, as well as regional anti-corruption councils attended the seminar.
It is worth to note that the rating system is aimed at identifying regions, spheres and government agencies that are most exposed to corruption risks, and taking targeted measures to eliminate them.
For reference: The Anti-Corruption Agency has developed a Rating Assessment Methodology, which uses indicators of corruption-related crimes, identified violations of the law on misuse of budgetary funds, appeals on corruption offenses, results of surveys conducted among the population, as well as information published in the media and social networks about possible corruption offenses to assess the corruption level in the context of regions, spheres and government agencies.
During the seminar, the Agency specialists made a presentation and shared information on the rating assessment methodology, its indicators, tasks of the responsible ministries and departments, as well as the results of the rating assessment, etc.
Following the event, members of the regional councils made suggestions and comments on improving the rating system and the performance of the regions.
