This August 27, the Public Council under the Anti-Corruption Agency held meeting.

The Council discussed main goals and objectives as well as organizational issues.

The main goal of the Public Council is to promote the effective policies and measures to prevent and combat corruption in Uzbekistan. To achieve this goal, members of the Council made various proposals and recommendations.

In particular, participation of the Council members in the discussion of legal documents developed by the Agency and submit proposals, organizing public hearings on the most corrupted areas, submitting analytical materials and proposals to reduce corruption risks to the Agency, etc.

The organizational issues were discussed at the meeting as well, the chair of the Council and his deputies elected.
