This October 26, a seminar on Council of Europe Conventions started working in Strasbourg, France.
The seminar was organized within the framework of the program of the European Union and the Council of Europe ‘Ensuring the Rule of Law in Central Asia.’
The main purpose of the event is to familiarize with the system of treaties of the Council of Europe, the procedures and features of accession to them by states that are not members of the Council of Europe, as well as providing detailed information about the obligations and benefits defined in the conventions.
Gaining new knowledge about conventions is also the goal of the seminar.
A representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency also takes part in it with a report on the measures taken to improve the anti-corruption policy in Uzbekistan, the adopted legal documents and state programs, reforms and projects implemented by the Agency, as well as the state of implementation of international treaties by Uzbekistan.
The seminar will run until October 28th.
