The Anti-Corruption Agency officer participates in the training courses organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) on the theme ‘Identifying, Tracing, Freezing, Seizing, Confiscating and Recovering Proceeds of Corruption: Challenges and Solutions.’
The representatives of anti-corruption agencies, judiciary and prosecution authorities from more than 20 countries attend the courses.
Presentations and trainings are held aimed at increasing the knowledge of officers of institutions responsible for combating corruption in the economic area, in particular, about effective measures aimed at identifying, tracing, freezing and confiscating proceeds from corruption crimes.
The course participants from Japan, Brazil, Thailand, Egypt, Pakistan and Kazakhstan shared information about the activities of their organizations responsible for combating corruption and their countries’ experience in recovering stolen assets.
The representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan also made a presentation on the reforms being implemented in the field of combating corruption in our country, including positive changes in the field of preventing and combating corruption offences.
Through similar presentations, course participants become closely acquainted with international experience and best practices in the field of combating corruption, as well as analyze existing problems and shortcomings, and develop specific practical proposals.
