On the eve of the International Anti-Corruption Day, on December 9, the State Committee of Geology and Mineral Resources of Uzbekistan received ISO 37001 Certification: Anti-Bribery Management System.

This was announced at an event organized by the Committee on the occasion of this date, with the participation of representatives of the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Prosecutor General’s Office and CERT International.

Nodira Samandarova, the Anti-Corruption Agency officer, made a presentation at the event on the reforms carried out in the field of combating corruption in Uzbekistan, and also spoke about the functions and tasks of the Agency.

She also focused on the activities of internal anti-corruption control units (compliance control), created in government agencies and organizations, which to date demonstrate their importance and effectiveness in early detection of corruption cases and elimination of their causes and conditions.

At the event, a representative of the CERT International presented the Committee with ISO 37001:2016 Certificate.
