As part of the Anti-Corruption Week, the Head Office of Ipoteka Bank held a round table discussion on the topic “Let’s unite in the fight against corruption!”
During the event, specialists from the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Tashkent State University of Law and the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan provided information to employees of the bank’s branches, the public and students about the measures consistently taken to prevent and combat corruption in Uzbekistan based on advanced international standards.
Akmal Yunusov, the Anti-Corruption Agency officer, noted that today both legal and institutional measures to combat corruption are being developed and implemented. The Sphere without Corruption Project and the Region without Corruption Project, as well as the introduction of a compliance control system in ministries, departments and local governments are among them.
The Agency officer also spoke about the main areas of the state policy to combat corruption, about the work carried out by the Agency in this field, as well as goals and objectives for the future.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on the need to increase the activity of civil society institutions and citizens in creating an environment of intolerance to corruption.
