The Extrabudgetary Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan has hosted the Doors Open Day, timed to December 9, the International Anti-Corruption Day.
The event, organized as part of the Anti-Corruption Week, gathered the employees of the Fund and officers of the Anti-Corruption Agency. The participants of the event paid special attention to the issues of reducing the human factor and achieving openness and transparency through the digitalization of activities and the provision of electronic public services as the most effective measures in the fight against corruption.
In particular, the participants shared views on the priority tasks outlined in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of June 16, 2021 ‘On additional measures to ensure the openness of the activities of government agencies and organizations, as well as the effective implementation of public control’.
Bekzod Rahmonov, the Anti-Corruption Agency officer, spoke about the work carried out in the country to prevent corruption, imposing severe penalties for corruption offenses, ensuring the principle of inevitability of punishment, and regularly improving the knowledge of executives and employees in the field of combating corruption.
The event also discussed in detail the tasks and goals that are gaining relevance to further improve the fight against corruption in the pension system.
