On the second day of the 20th International Anti-Corruption Conference in Washington, D.C, the head of Uzbekistan delegation delivered a speech at a special session organized by the United Nations Development Program.
In particular, Akmal Burkhanov, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, spoke about the introduction of international standards in the field of openness and transparency into the national legislation of Uzbekistan and the effectiveness of information technologies introduced in this area.
Chair of the Board of Transparency International, the head of the USAID IT Department, heads of foreign missions and international nongovernmental organizations attended the session.
The speakers of the session actively discussed the possibilities of electronic programs and platforms in the fight against corruption, issues of ensuring integrity in the public service, strengthening the capacity of nongovernmental organizations, and conducting journalistic investigations.
