During the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to the United States, Akmal Burkhanov, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, held a meeting with Tim Steele, Head of the UNODC Corruption and Economic Crime Branch, and Jack Anderson, INL Director.
At the meeting, the head of the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan put forward a proposal to develop the UNCAC Implementation Platform in cooperation with INL and UNODC and turn it into a regional platform for the exchange of experience.

The parties agreed to develop projects to maintain a register of nongovernmental organizations working in this area and build their capacity.
The issues of creating a unified database on public procurement based on open data, establishing the practice of organizing internships for government officials in foreign countries were discussed as well.
