These days, the delegation of Uzbekistan, headed by the director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, is on a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan.
The main purpose of the visit is to sum up the results of the work carried out within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Anti-Corruption Agency of Uzbekistan and the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption of Tajikistan, as well as to discuss future joint projects.
Members of the Uzbek delegation visited the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption of Tajikistan, where they got acquainted with the main activities of the agency, in particular, ensuring the effectiveness of anti-corruption expertise of regulatory acts and their drafts, as well as improving legislation in the field of preventing and combating corruption, introducing international standards and advanced foreign experience.
Then, Akmal Burkhanov and Sulaimon Sultonzoda, heads of the anti-corruption agencies of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, held a bilateral meeting, during which they discussed in detail the status of the implementation of the Action Plan 2022 within the Memorandum.
During the dialogue, the parties noted that the memorandum had a positive impact on improving the knowledge and skills of specialists from both parties, especially in the field of preventing corruption offenses, and that the experience gained in this regard serves to improve activities.
The parties also spoke in favor of continuing mutually beneficial cooperation and expanding the scale of ongoing projects.
Following the dialogue, plans, goals and tasks were determined for implementation by representatives of the two agencies in the near future.
