For to increase the activity of the regional anti-corruption councils of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks set to prevent corruption, the Anti-Corruption Agency decided to organize seminars from August to December, 2022. During this period, the participants of the seminars were provided with information on a number of important issues in the field of combating corruption.
The last seminar of this series was held on December 21, in which information was provided on the procedure for conducting anti-corruption expertise of regulations and their drafts.
For reference: Anti-corruption expertise is a set of measures aimed at identifying corruption factors in regulations and their drafts, developing recommendations aimed at eliminating identified corruption factors, and taking measures.
In particular, information was provided on corruption factors, the basic principles of conducting anti-corruption expertise, the procedure for conducting anti-corruption expertise, and the entities conducting anti-corruption expertise.
The participants of the seminar discussed the involvement of independent and scientific experts in conducting anti-corruption expertise and foreign experience in this area.
Participants were also asked to provide feedback on the topics covered in the series of seminars and their speakers, as well as on the program, format and topics of future seminars.
