On February 9, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic hosted an international scientific and practical conference on the topic ‘Anti-corruption: political and legal support in the context of digitalization, international and national standards, threats and challenges and their impact on the national security of the Central Asian states’.
The Anti-Corruption Business Council under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation acted the organizers of the conference.
MPs from the Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of ministries and departments, law enforcement agencies, public and international organizations, research centers, the scientific and pedagogical community and representatives of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan attended the event. A representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan also took part in the conference at the invitation of the Anti-Corruption Business Council.
At the conference, reports were heard on the work carried out by official organizations in the field of combating corruption in the Kyrgyz Republic, the practice of using information technologies in this area, and the results achieved.
In turn, the representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency made a presentation on the creation of a national standard for the implementation of preventive mechanisms to combat corruption in the Republic of Uzbekistan, in particular, internal anti-corruption control units in government agencies and organizations.
The work of the internal anti-corruption control units in Uzbekistan drew interest of the participants of the conference.
Following the conference, Secretary General of the Anti-Corruption Business Council under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic made proposals for establishing cooperation in order to exchange experience, provide practical and methodological assistance.
