On February 14, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Akmal Burkhanov received Vladimir Kozin, UNODC Regional Anti-Corruption Adviser for Central Asia and Azat Irmanov, National Program Officer.
The meeting identified the main areas of cooperation between the Agency and UNODC for 2023.
In particular, issues of organizing various events aimed at strengthening the capacity of employees of NGOs and anti-corruption bodies, constant communication with business entities with the participation of partner organizations and other projects were discussed.
The meeting participants also exchanged views on the joint organization of a regional training on monitoring the Istanbul Action Plan and the involvement of civil society institutions in the review of the implementation of the UN Convention against Corruption, expanding the participation of NGOs in the Tashkent Anti-Corruption Forum, as well as intensifying work on anti-corruption expertise of regulatory documents.
