The Tashkent Tax College has become a venue for a seminar on the topic ‘The state policy and its priorities in combating corruption in the Republic of Uzbekistan’, which was organized by the Anti-Corruption Agency together with the College.
At the seminar, the Agency officer spoke in detail about large-scale reforms aimed at preventing and combating corruption in Uzbekistan, eradicating corruption factors in all areas of state and public construction, as well as the effectiveness of the undertaken measures.
The Agency officer noted that today the government agencies and organizations have been tasked with introducing a number of anti-corruption standards as well as integrity standards in the civil service. As a result, the internal anti-corruption control system (compliance control) was established in many organizations and departments.
During the seminar, the participants discussed in detail the circumstances that give rise to corruption and the measures taken to prevent them, corruption crimes and the penalties provided for them.
Proposals were also made to strengthen intolerance towards corruption in society, to increase public activity in the fight against this evil.
