By Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. DP-6013 of June 29, 2020 ‘On additional measures to improve the anti-corruption system in the Republic of Uzbekistan’, the Anti-Corruption Agency is authorized to request, receive and study materials related to the implementation of investment projects and state programs.
Over the past period since the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Agency, a number of legal acts of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan have assigned the Agency with the tasks of establishing constant control over ensuring openness and transparency of targeted spending of funds allocated for the implementation of major investment projects.
In particular, the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No.RP-5246 of September 18, 2021 provides for the implementation of the project ‘Sustainable Rural Development’ with the participation of the Islamic Development Bank and the OPEC Fund for International Development.
Based on clause 10 of this Resolution, the Agency is entrusted with the task of establishing constant control over ensuring openness and transparency in the process of targeted use of funds allocated under the project.
According to the main technical and economic parameters, the total cost of the project is USD 338 million, of which:
The project implementation period is 5 years.
The project provides for the construction of social and infrastructure facilities, their reconstruction and repair in 170 mahalla gathering of citizens in 20 districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as Khorezm, Bukhara and Navoi regions.
The Ministry of Economy and Finance has been appointed the executive body responsible for the targeted and efficient use of the allocated funds, timely and high-quality implementation of the Project.
The Anti-Corruption Agency sent recommendations to the Ministry of Economy and Finance on ensuring openness and transparency of the process of allocating funds within the framework of the Resolution.
The Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. RP-3857 of July 16, 2018 provides for the entry of a representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency into the procurement commissions in the framework of projects involving international financial institutions and foreign state financial organizations, as well as the participation of a representative of the Agency in tender competitions within the project.

Information about tender processes is published on the project website www.uzrd.uz, e-kharid.uz and in newspapers published under the Ministry of Construction.
The official website of the project (ridp.uz), as well as Telegram and Facebook social pages started operating. The official website provides general information about the project, adopted legal documents, the total cost of the project, subprojects, project implementation schedule, news, etc.
In particular, the main page of the project site has an interactive map about the objects that will be built or reconstructed within the framework of the project.
A hot line and communication channels have started operating as well.
