On April 11-12, the Center for the Retraining of Journalists held a two-day training on the topic ‘Improving the capacity of journalists and bloggers of Uzbekistan to conduct anti-corruption journalistic investigations.’
For reference: The training was organized within the framework of a new joint project of the Center for Retraining of Journalists of Uzbekistan and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation ‘Journalistic investigation is an effective method of fighting corruption’. The Anti-Corruption Agency is a partner of the project.
Representatives of international organizations, international experts and senior officials of the Anti-Corruption Agency took part in the training with lectures.
The representative of the Anti-Corruption Agency spoke in detail about the main tracks of the anti-corruption policy, the role of the media in its implementation and joint projects with the media.
In the practical part of the training, a detailed explanation was given regarding the data published by government agencies and organizations, and how to work with them.
On the second day of the training, profile issues were discussed, including the requirements for a modern investigative journalist, issues of his/her safety, ethical standards in his/her work, as well as practical classes were organized.
