In the processes of rating assessment by the Anti-Corruption Agency of the effectiveness of anti-corruption work in the activities of government bodies, an expert group also takes an active part, which conducts its own independent assessment.
The expert group is formed on the basis of the relevant order of the Anti-Corruption Agency Director from among the representatives of civil society institutions in order to ensure transparency and fairness of the assessment processes.
The expert group conducted a thorough analysis and gave an objective assessment of the information posted on E-anticor.uz platform on the anti-corruption measures undertaken by government bodies and organizations in 2022.
A meeting of the Agency’s leadership and members of the expert group has been organized at the Anti-Corruption Agency, at which issues related to the further improvement of the rating system were discussed in detail.
The experts put forward a number of proposals and recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the assessment processes.
In particular, Diyorbek Kimsanov, chairman of the expert group, director of the Tashkent City Mediation Center, noted the need to expand the range of government bodies and organizations that would be further assessed based on the rating.
According to a member of the expert group, Dilfuza Kuralova, expert from the Institute for Social and Economic Initiatives, priority should not be given to the number of developed and adopted documents, but to the extent to which they are put into practice, how effective they are.
Another member of the expert group, media lawyer Madina Tursunova, focused on the issue of inclusion in the number of criteria for assessing the openness of the activities of government organizations, as well as taking into account the opinion of the general public when forming the rating results.
During the meeting, other organizational issues related to strengthening the activities of government bodies in combating corruption and the activities of the expert group were also discussed.
