A regular meeting of the Bukhara Regional Anti-Corruption Council was held May 16, which reviewed the state of work to prevent corruption in the region, the activities of the Regional Council over the past period, as well as the results of the rating assessment of the work to combat corruption and ensure openness, implemented by the regional administration in 2022.
Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, representatives of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, members of the Bukhara Regional Anti-Corruption Council, representatives of the media and NGOs attended the meeting.
They critically reviewed the work done to ensure openness and analyzed the identified shortcomings. Officials in charge of ensuring the openness of activities of their organizations were assigned specific tasks related to compliance with the requirements of legal acts on openness, timely, reliable and complete disclosure of socially significant information.
The meeting participants also discussed the results of the rating assessment of the effectiveness of anti-corruption efforts. They noted the need to establish systematic work to further improve the activities of the regional administration in the fight against corruption, including improving the knowledge and skills of employees in preventing and combating corruption.
Ending the meeting, specific measures were identified to improve the effectiveness of anti-corruption actions in the region, and to take measures to improve the position of the region in ratings and indices.
