On July 10-13, a delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency Umed Mavlyanov visited Malaysia.
The main purpose of the visit was to strengthen cooperation with the competent authorities of Malaysia to prevent and combat corruption and reach agreements on the implementation of joint projects.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Azam Bin Baki, at which the results of the work carried out under the Memorandum of Interagency Cooperation signed between the Commission and the Agency in 2022 were summed up, as well as the issues of continuing effective cooperation and expanding the scale of ongoing projects were discussed.
During the meeting of the delegation of Uzbekistan with representatives of Transparency International (Malaysia), an exchange of views took place on ways to improve the positions in the international rankings and cooperation with the competent authorities responsible for the fight against corruption.
The meetings and discussions, held within the visit to Malaysia, resulted in a number of agreements providing for the expansion of the scope of exchange of experience in the fight against corruption and the implementation of new joint projects.
