On August 30, the Anti-Corruption Agency on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a festive event under the slogan ‘For a New Life, for a New Uzbekistan!’

Akmal Burkhanov, Director of the Agency, sincerely congratulated everyone on the great holiday and stressed that consistent reforms aimed at an uncompromising fight against corruption are becoming increasingly important in the development of the country.

“A striking proof of this is the fact that in the updated Constitution the norms related to the fight against corruption were strengthened.

In addition, with the political will of the head of our state, important measures are being taken in this area and significant positive results are being achieved, which is confirmed by the example of the constant improvement of our country’s performance in international rankings. And the most pleasant thing is that the Agency officers are making a worthy contribution to this,” Akmal Burkhanov noted.

At the event, the officers also expressed the opinion that the Agency team has to justify the high trust of the citizens, has to consolidate the achievements with new, more significant results on the path to building a society free from corruption.

During the festive event, a group of employees of the Agency was awarded a Certificate of Merit and a Letter of Appreciation for the effective and diligent performance of their duties, initiative and active participation in public works.

In addition, prizes were awarded to the winners and prize-winners of sports competitions for the prize of the Agency Director, organized on the eve of the 32nd anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence.
