In Uzbekistan, the Internal Anti-Corruption Control Units (Compliance Control Department) started operating in government agencies and organizations of the country from last October, which are entrusted with the duty of early detection and prevention of corruption, elimination of their causes and conditions, prevention of conflicts of interest and cultivating in government employees intolerant attitude to corruption.
Now the Agency starts providing information about the results of activities of these units on its official pages.
In a short period of time, the internal anti-corruption control units have demonstrated their effectiveness in taking measures to detect and prevent corruption at an early stage, to eliminate their causes and conditions.
In particular, the Compliance Control Department of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations, in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Agency, in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 37001 international standard for the implementation of the Roadmap 2020-2021 to combat the shadow economy and corruption, developed 18 internal regulatory acts related to the fight against corruption.
In total, over the past period, the Compliance Control Department conducted five studies within the Ministry.
Based on the results of the studies, the organizational structure of two subordinate organizations was completely changed and conflicts of interest eliminated, as well as disciplinary measures were applied to employees, and employment contracts were terminated with five employees.
Moreover, the Compliance Control Department conducted three internal audits, based on the results of which appropriate instructions were given to the organizations of the system.
